Custom wooden rocking chair - coped arms

Cope arms , laminated back braces

Pictured here is a set of arms for a custom wooden rocking chair, to get to this stage there are a few steps. First we choose some lumber, try to grain match them together with consideration to the seat and headrest. The use of a coopered headrest allows us to have the grain flow down the headrest, through the legs and down the seat so lumber selection is very important, we pride our selves in our lumber choices with every custom wooden rocking chair we build. For a detailed look at the arm creation please visit our blog post custom wooden rocking chairs - How we cope our arms.
