Plans look good. I've already built chair no 9, and the plans are similar, just a narrower seat and the front legs maloof joint smaller making the leg a bit further forward. Big job now to make a set of 4. I think I'll make the front leg same size and placement as Chair no 9.
Extremely fast and friendly service oriented people at Canadian Woodworks. I can't wait to start working on this project. Thanks
Just finished the final finishing coat of the first chair (5 more to go).
The patterns worked great and the enclosed instructions were a good reference, although I made some modifications to the process based on experience and shop setup. The video that is available on UTube was a good reference for some of the trickier work.
I had one question and Paul replied back to me within 24 hours. Overall a great experience!
Great detail. Thanks Started with Guitar pick stool first. Now moving on to the chair
1) Chair design is fair, consider softening curves and edges. Could be a bit more organic, sensual design.
2) It would be very useful to have plans available in CAD format, not hand sketches. If I use them, I will re-draw in CAD and program for CNC router machine.
